High-Low Dining Goes Digital: Shake Shack x MIMI Chinese Launch Exclusive Delivery Menu via SkipTheDishes
Toronto’s food scene just got a little more exciting—and more accessible. From May 13 to 26, 2025, SkipTheDishes users in Toronto can experience a bold, limited-time culinary collaboration between global burger sensation Shake Shack and critically acclaimed local gem MIMI Chinese. This partnership brings together the best of “high-low” dining—elevated flavours from a Michelin Guide restaurant paired with the comfort and craveability of a classic Shake Shack order.
Curated by Chefs David Schwartz and Braden Chong of MIMI Chinese, the exclusive menu is available at Shake Shack’s Toronto locations (Yonge & Dundas, Union Station, and Yorkdale Shopping Centre), and—here’s the best part—only on SkipTheDishes for delivery.
“This is more than just a collaboration. It’s a celebration of Toronto’s culinary creativity and cultural diversity,” says Billy Richmond, Business Director at Shake Shack Canada. “We’re honoured to introduce Canadians to three new items that reflect our shared roots in fine dining and our dedication to premium, locally inspired ingredients.”
So, what’s on the menu?
-
Málà Chicken Sandwich
A fiery take on Shake Shack’s signature crispy chicken, this sandwich channels Sichuan street flavours with MIMI Chinese’s house-made chili oil, charred scallion relish, green chili mayo, and classic kosher pickles, all tucked between fresh lettuce and a golden-fried chicken filet. -
Shaokao Fries
Shake Shack’s famous crinkle-cut fries get a Chinese night market twist, seasoned with cumin, chili, and Sichuan peppercorn, and served with a side of green chili mayo for dipping. -
Black Sesame Coconut Shake
Inspired by Cantonese dessert culture, this creamy, nutty shake blends black sesame paste with Shake Shack’s vanilla frozen custard—a nostalgic nod to Tang Yuan desserts, with a bold new twist.
The partnership doesn’t just celebrate flavour—it also gives back. A portion of proceeds from this collaboration will be donated to Fort York Food Bank, helping support local residents facing food insecurity.
“We wanted to bring the soul of Chinese cooking to an entirely new audience,” says David Schwartz, Co-Founder and Creative Director at MIMI Chinese and Big Hug Hospitality. “This partnership with Shake Shack allows us to do just that—and deliver it straight to your door.”
Whether you’re a foodie looking to try something new or simply in the mood for delivery that hits different, this is one mash-up worth jumping on. But don’t wait—it’s available for a limited time only on SkipTheDishes or in-store at Shake Shack’s Toronto locations.
