McCain Acquires Scelta, a Netherlands-Based Frozen Food Producer

On September 8th, 2022, McCain Foods acquired Scelta Products, a Netherlands-based producer of frozen prepared vegetable appetizers such as onion rings and battered and breaded mushrooms.

Scelta’s plant products will be added to McCain’s offerings, creating increased production capacity and the opportunity for European and international growth.

The significant acquisition is the latest in a series of investments McCain has made in an effort to expand their appetizer and snack offerings, including Ad van Geloven, Strong Roots, and Forno De Minas. The move communicates McCain’s commitment to strengthen its position in the global market.
