Celebrate Chai Day with Chaiiwala 🤎

You know we love our food holidays — and this year, we can’t wait to raise our cups for Celebrate Chai Day with Chaiiwala of London!
đź“… Mark your calendars: September 21st
Here’s the deal: buy one large hot Karak Chai and get another one FREE, on the house. (In-store only — so grab a friend and make it a chai date.)
But that’s not all brewing. Chaiiwala isn’t just pouring tea — they’re stirring up a bit of cultural movement across Canada.
Since opening their first Canadian café in Scarborough in 2021, co-founders Shiraj Kothiwala and Ajmal Gundhra have been on a mission: to share authentic chai culture and build warm, welcoming community spaces. And it’s working. With 22 cafés already open across four provinces and a bold plan to hit 100 locations by 2030, Chaiiwala is quickly becoming one of Canada’s fastest-growing café brands.
“It’s more than a café; it’s a cultural experience,” says co-founder Shiraj Kothiwala.
The menu is a flavour journey in itself — with East Indian, East African, and British influences all blended together. Think signature Karak Chaii, Pink Chaii, Karak Coffee, and street food favourites like Desi Breakfast, Bombay Toastie, and indulgent Gulab Jamun Cheesecake.
And they’re not slowing down. Next stops on their Canadian tour include Edmonton (October 2025), King George Hub (January 2026), plus Kelowna, Saskatoon, and Vancouver in 2026.
