Congo Coffee Sweetens the Start of Summer with Fruity Drinks

Known by influencers and foodies alike for its Congo-sourced coffee, beignets and bite-sized treats, Congo Coffee & Toronto Beignets (298 Gerrard St. E, Toronto) has now launched their highly anticipated summer drinks menu; and owner Nia Bangala could not be more thrilled.

Inspired by tropical hotspots across the globe, the first addition of 2022 is a L’Africaine mint x watermelon combo, refreshing and reminiscent of African humidity. The next is a kiwi, ginger and lime mix called One Night in Rio which will remind travellers of recipes from Copacabana Beach. The third is the year-round-made sweet hibiscus Moroccan mint tea, listed on the menu as Marrakech,

“These signature drinks are part of the reason why visitors and locals alike flock to this unassuming little eatery. As cool donut shops go, this one has a lot to offer, having been named Restaurant Guru’s Best Find for the past two years.”

For visitors and reviewers, the only thing more memorable than the refreshments or the beautifully cooked beignets is the hospitality of Bangala, who has been called warm, welcoming and authentic in online feedback.
