Have A Slice Of Good Pie To Go From These Nine Restaurants

Since the 1970’s, North Americans have been celebrating National Pi(e) Day annually on March 14th. Not to be confused with National Pi Day, this food holiday has nothing to do with math – instead it has everything to do with traditional fruit pies such as apple, cherry, blueberry, pumpkin and for some an excuse to indulge in some more savory pies like shepherd’s pie, pot pie or even pizza pies!

Regardless, National Pie Day encourages us all to take a break with this North American classic dish, so call or visit your local bakery, grab a slice or an entire dish, and indulge in the comforting decadence of good pie. Here’s are nine bakeries and patisseries across Canada to start with!

She baked her first pie when she was nine using cherries picked from her family’s half-acre fruit-filled paradise. Now a staple in Toronto’s Kensington Market, Wanda’s famous pies are renowned for their flavour and for the fact that every baked good is made with love by hand.
