Uncork And Enjoy Your Next Bottle From These Five Wine Shops

Canadians love their wine. Whether it’s a robust Cabernet Sauvignon from France, a tasty Chardonnay from California, a spicy Argentine Malbec or a Riesling from our very own Ontario-based vineyards – the bottom line is we consume a lot of wine, in fact Canadians account for 2% of the world’s wine consumption.

In Canada, Ontario and British Columbia are the two largest wine-producing provinces. However, wine producing regions are also present in other provinces, including Alberta, Quebec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. Due to our frigid season, Iced Wine is another unique offer available to Canadians – a reason to love winter even more!

We have put together a list of wine shops and markets where you are sure to find your favourite varietal of both locally produced and imported wine.

A stone throw away from Trinity Bellwoods park, this  bottle-shop, wine bar and café offers a refreshing new way to try new wines. All bottles on selection are not available for sale through the LCBO, which should intrigue most wine-o’s. Additionally on weekend, their Sip School program gives guests the opportunity to learn about three wines, paired with snacks.
